The County of Simcoe, with funding from the Government of Ontario and administered by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, is hosting an Immigrant Recognition Event in Alliston at the Gibson Centre, on April 17 at 4 p.m.

Guests attending the event will hear two immigrant employment success stories, including their employment training journey, that resulted from the Poverty to Employment project.

The event is being held in conjunction with the Community Connections fair occurring at the Gibson Centre on Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. where immigrant residents will have an opportunity to connect with area employment and community support services.

County of Simcoe is composed of sixteen member municipalities and provides crucial public services to County residents in addition to providing paramedic and social services to the separated cities of Barrie and Orillia. Visit our website at simcoe.ca.
