ROYAL VICTORIA REGIONAL HEALTH CENTRE

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) recently received a boost of support from C.C. Tatham and Associates Ltd. (CCTA) with a $10,000 donation to the health centre.

Since completing its ambitious expansion in 2012, which doubled the size of the health centre and brought services previously not available in the region closer to home, patient volumes and the healthcare needs of the community have continued to grow.

RVH set new clinical priorities to address these needs, including regional cardiac services and regional child and youth mental health services and launched the $25-million Hearts and Minds campaign. The donation from CCTA supports this campaign

“We take great pride in our philanthropic endeavours,” says Rex Meadley, president and chief engineer, CCTA. “We are proud to support RVH to ensure they have the equipment they need to care for our employees, their families, and friends.”

The Hearts and Minds campaign has exceeded its goal, raising $25.2 million to support the five priority areas. The Simcoe Muskoka Regional Child and Youth Mental Health Program opened in December, 2017 and the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Heart Program opened in January 2018, providing services to youth in crisis and heart patients that previously were not available in North Simcoe Muskoka.

“The support of the community and partners in care like CCTA ensures that we can continue to fund new programs and ensure the health-care team has the latest tools and equipment to do their important work,” says Dave McCullough, chair, RVH Hearts and Mind campaign.

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Collingwood, with branch offices in Bracebridge, Barrie, Orillia and Ottawa, CCTA has a solid team of over 125 employees dedicated to supporting the communities in which they live and work. Rex Meadley, President and Chief Engineer of C.C. Tatham & Associates Ltd. noted that the company is a strong believer in giving back to the community.
