Mechanical failure is the suspected cause of a vehicle fire in Springwater Township early Saturday afternoon.
There were no injuries, said Springwater Fire Chief Jeff Kirk, but the car is “a total write-off.”
Damage to a hydro pole and wires, due to the location of the car, shut down the road for safety reasons, Kirk added.
It happened on Russell Road, southeast of Forbes Road and north of Doran Road.
The call came in at 12:21 p.m., May 27.
