Busch Systems, a leader in the design and retail of waste and recycling systems, has announced that it has become a Certified B Corporation.
Just in time for the start of a new decade, Busch Systems is proud to have achieved this milestone and join the B Corp community. B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Certified B Corporations® are leaders of a global movement of people using business as a force for good.
“Busch Systems began in the early days of the recycling movement and our desire has always been to support environmental accountability and conscious business choices,” said Busch Systems founder and CEO, Craig Busch. “Becoming a B Corporation reaffirms that commitment and provides an important benchmark for our decisions be it with our products, people or philanthropy efforts."
Since its inception in 1985, Busch Systems has always tried to be ahead of the curve in sustainability, social and community initiatives. Therefore, the rigorous assessment process was a welcome opportunity to enhance current policies and procedures along with developing new ones.
States Kasha Huk, B Lab Country Manager, Canada: "We're thrilled to welcome Busch Systems to the B Corp community. As one of almost 300 companies certified in Canada, and over 3,000 globally, Busch Systems is leading the way in demonstrating that business can be used to address complex social and environmental issues. They are a testament to the idea that business can be used as a force for good."
With certification coming just ahead of its 35th anniversary, Busch Systems has an eye on the future and looks forward to collaborating with other B Corp companies as well as being an active participant to push the movement forward in its own local business community and beyond.
