Burned-out motel comes down (raw video)

Crews have begun tearing apart the Lake Simcoe Motel after a pair of suspicious fires at the defunct business

Demolition of burned buildings is underway at the Lake Simcoe Motel.

The abandoned motel on Blake Street was hit with two suspicious fires in recent weeks, one that is a confirmed arson.

Crews worked in the pouring rain Tuesday to demolish the smaller building that was the scene of the first fire Aug 4.

Heavy equipment is currently taking down the two-storey building that was burned one week later.

The owner of the vacant motel has not commented on the future of the other buildings.
