It was an unfortunate case of "wrong place wrong time" for one Barrie resident who had his vehicle parked downtown last night.
A couple exiting a licensed establishment after one too many drinks began bickering on Collier Street as they made their way home.
In his drunken frustration the 23-year-old Barrie man lashed out and struck the side view mirror of a parked vehicle that did not belong to him. The mirror was broken as a result.
Police arrived and confirmed that the female was unharmed and the intoxicated male was arrested and taken to the Barrie Police Station.
He was charged with mischief under $5000 and released in the morning once he had sobered up.
The owner of the vehicle was located and given the bad news.
