Bradford teen killed, another hurt after car slams into tree

Police are asking any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the crash to come forward

York Region police are looking for witnesses after a car slammed into a tree in Ansnorveldt early this morning, killing a Bradford West Gwillimbury teenager and injuring another.

An 18-year-old Bradford man, a passenger in the grey Toyota Corolla involved in the single-vehicle collision, was pronounced dead at the scene around 3 a.m. on King Street, west of Dufferin Street and north of Miller’s Sideroad.

A 17-year-old girl from Bradford, the driver, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and York Regional Police are asking any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the crash to come forward.

Investigators would also like to speak to anyone who may have been in that area around the time of the crash, or to anyone who may have seen the vehicle beforehand.
