Lynn Anne Hill heads Events by L.A., the promoter of this year’s Body & Mind Psychic Fair, who is even now feeling the tingle of seeing folks eager to book a psychic reading.

“Our guests usually arrive in groups as many bring along their mothers, sisters and girlfriends to spend the morning having their cards read, enjoy Reiki sessions, and visit our many local holistic vendor booths," said Hill. "The happiness and positive energy of our guests and participants is tangible.”

Admission is free, though there are presentations on the paranormal throughout the day which charge a registration fee of $10.00. Hill says as many fairgoers are anxious to look forward to the future as they are to tap into the past.

“I often hear our guests remark to their friends, ‘I just need to know’, (or) ‘I could move forward if only…’. Many have unfinished issues that they are courageously ready to deal with concerning their departed loved one and are willing to allow a psychic medium to try to bridge the gap to achieve communication. Others are intrigued by the paranormal and want to learn more about the energy within and around them.”

Besides the psychics, one booth features Tara Leigh VanderMeulen, leading a session called “Haunted Meet-Up Barrie”. Plus, there is a Personal Life Approach Leader and Clairvoyant who “propels her clients through the stages of self-discovery to succeed…”

Hill says there’s never been a better time to learn about tapping into energies from beyond our own world, learning to communicate with those who have crossed over to the next world.

“It is interesting to hear different generations of people now speak casually about seeking energy healers, honouring their chakras, attending Reiki treatments, tuning into their unconscious minds using Body Talk to source causes of pain, practicing gratitude to leverage the power of the Universe, and believing that as energy being ourselves that the departed may, as energy, be within communication.”

This year’s Body & Mind Psychic Fair takes over the Barrie Legion, at 410 St. Vincent Street, this Sunday, January 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring psychics, mediums, astrologers, healers and lots of local vendors. Folks behind the counters of those booths offer everything from crystals, pendulums to handcrafted jewellery and essential oils.

More than that, the first 50 guests will receive a Swag Bag of special discounts and treats. To learn more, click [email protected].
