Beer store employee threatened, male charged

On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., police responded to The Beer Store, located on Anne Street, in the city of Barrie, upon receiving reports of a male threatening a store employee.

On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., police responded to The Beer Store, located on Anne Street, in the city of Barrie, upon receiving reports of a male threatening a store employee.

The male had threatened to cause bodily harm to the store manager after being refused service. He had been very agitated and displaying signs of impairment.

Upon leaving the store he continued to cause a disturbance amongst patrons on site.

Police located the male at the corner of Dunlop and Anne Street.

Further investigation led to the 30-year-old Barrie male being charged with breach of probation as well as uttering threats.

The male will appear in bail court on Thursday morning.
