The Hamilton Cardinals ended a three-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the Barrie Baycats Wednesday night at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium. 
Jake Foden went 3-for-4 with a home run and two doubles as Hamilton improved to 7-13. Foden drove in two and scored twice. 

Grant Arnold and Laine Renaud each had a hit and an RBI, while Connor Bowie singled twice and had a run.  Zackary Gonzalez (1-4) went seven innings for the win, allowing four runs on eight hits with a walk and five strikeouts.  Nick Jambrosic threw two hitless innings with a strikeout for his first save of the season. 

For Barrie, Starlin Rodriguez and Carson Burns each hit two-run home runs. Glenn Jackson and Kyle DeGrace had a single and run apiece. Santos Arias (3-2) took the loss, giving up five runs (three earned) on eight hits over seven innings. He walked one and struck out five. 

Barrie dropped to 14-8.
