Barrie screening movie featuring RVH doctor

Hospital staff to hit the big screen at home

After successful, sold out screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival, the feature film shot in Barrie, Port Severn and Parry Sound last summer – Porcupine Lake – is starting to tour.

Some scenes of the movie were shot at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre starring Emergency room physician, Dr. George Karasmanis and other staff members.
 
The Barrie screening will take place on Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Barrie Film Festival at 4 p.m. at the Uptown Theatre on Dunlop Street. 
 
As of Oct.1, tickets will be available here.
 
In Barrie, there will be a question and answer session with the cast and the festival is organizing an informal reception for after the screening.
