Barrie Police Association made a generous $8,125 donation to support the purchase of infant security bracelets at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. On average, over 2,000 babies are born at RVH each year, and each wear an infant protection bracelet to ensure their safety and security until they are discharged from the health centre.

The community-minded Association has been donating to support patient care for almost three decades giving close to $120,000 in support. This year’s support by the Barrie Police Association was made possible in part from a donation they received from the proceeds of a Barrie Wild Wing Restaurants charity golf tournament.

Tom Sinclair, President of the Barrie Police Association and Amanda Davis, RVH Patient Services Clerk, gathered at the RVH Little Wonders wall to mark the occasion. The Little Wonders program is a special way for parents to honor the birth of their baby by having their child’s name and birthdate engraved onto a flower while at the same time making a meaningful donation to Obstetrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at RVH.
