From Barrie native Jessie Gosling comes a second single, Late December. Melodramatic piano and twinkling guitar fill the beautiful composition of Jessie’s latest original release. Accompanying the song is a lyric video featuring animation from local artist and musician Jessica Spurrell.

Late December is a retelling of a nightmare. This particular dream acted as a forewarning to the pursuit of a relationship. Late December is self-produced, featuring heart-wrenching lyrics and a climactic chorus.

Jessie decided to write the song as if she had never listened to the warnings of her dreams and placed herself in a regretful situation. She uses the song to reflect on herself, commenting on a tendency to fall for the idea of an individual rather than the actual person.

You may know Jessie from her performances downtown this summer as a member of the Canadian Musicians Co-Operative. She also has many virtual performances available on canadianmusicians.live. Jessie has shared her musical talents with Bandology, the Collingwood Art Crawl, and Simcoe Rising Star.

Currently, Jessie is beginning her first year at Humber College where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music.

Stay tuned for the release of her EP later this year.
