NEWS RELEASE
ONTARIO PARENTS ADVOCATING FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER
*************************
Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer (OPACC), a registered charity that has been supporting families of children with cancer throughout Ontario since 1995, has released a 2021 wall calendar featuring 12 amazing kids from around Ontario as a fundraiser to support childhood cancer families.

The children's stories were told by their parents in their own words, and each month also includes a childhood cancer awareness fact. The locations of the children include Orillia, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Massey, Oro-Medonte, Woodbridge, Vaughan, Carrying Place, Bowmanville, and Richmond Hill.

This calendar includes Jace, a child from Orillia who was diagnosed with leukemia.

People can purchase the calendar at www.opacc.org/shop for $15 each ($10 each for orders of 3+).

All proceeds of sales go towards supporting the charity’s free programs and services for childhood cancer families in Ontario.

This includes in-hospital support through its Parent Liaison program, community-based childhood cancer parent support groups throughout Ontario, hospital parking reimbursements, distribution of gift cards for gas and food, and advocacy on issues of importance to childhood cancer families. www.opacc.org/shop
