NEWS RELEASE
THE MAXIMUM CHILL
*************************
Ottawa avant-garde rock group, The Maximum Chill, is about to hit the road on their first tour of southern Ontario plus Montreal, Que.

They will be touring as an eight-piece band with a woodwind section and an additional percussionist to celebrate winning Rock Album of the Year (The Ottawa Sound, 2018) for their debut album, 'Here Come Those Freaks!'

The Maximum Chill was formed in 2016 by self-taught composer/guitarist Brandon Vasko and draws from a wide variety of genres from blues to modern-classical and everything in between.

Their live show features improvised solos, props, audience interaction, and generally freaky behavior. After the tour they will be working on an instrumental jazz-fusion album and a baroque-style opera album.

The Maximum Chill will be donating 10 per cent of their tour proceeds to MusiCounts' Band Aid Program. MusiCounts is Canada's music education charity that puts instruments into the hands of children who need them the most.
