The Board of Directors of the Automotive Business School of Canada (ABSC) is pleased to announce Jason Dale as its new executive director.

The appointment follows a national search for an experienced automotive and academic professional to lead the ABSC – Canada’s national educational organization dedicated to training the next generation of leaders and managers in automotive business.

Dale brings more than 20 years of automotive management experience across the automotive sector. Most recently general manager of Pfaff Volkswagen, his career includes progressively responsible leadership positions with Chrysler, BMW (Quinn Automotive Group) and Pfaff in new and pre-owned sales and operations, leasing, parts and service.

Dale has personal experience with the ABSC as a part-time faculty member in the Automotive Dealership Management (AUDM) graduate certificate program since 2015. He is also a graduate of the program.

“This combination of industry connections and academic experience is exactly what we were seeking for this important leadership position,” says Georgian College president and CEO Dr. MaryLynn West-Moynes. “Jason has built a well-deserved industry reputation for leading successful teams and providing exemplary customer service and will bring these important abilities in support of our students and partners. As a key member of faculty, he is already an ambassador for the ABSC, Georgian and our students.”

Dale will be Georgian’s point of contact for the ABSC Board of Directors and for industry partners, including the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association, Automotive Industries Association of Canada, Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) and others across the country. He will lead full- and part-time ABSC academic programming with a dedicated team of faculty and staff, and be responsible for the continuing success of the annual Georgian College Auto Show.

“I am thrilled to be joining the team at Georgian College to bring my years of industry experience to contribute to the continued success of the Automotive Business School of Canada,” says Dale.
