There's a heavy police presence in the Chieftain Crescent area of south-end Barrie as authorities track a large bear.
Chieftain Crescent is located in the area of Little Avenue and Fairview Road, behind the new police headquarters.
Officials with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry are on scene waiting for the bear to calm down before using a tranquilizer gun, according to a BarrieToday reporter on the scene.
