About Simcoe Reads

Seven libraries. Seven books. One winner. Based on the popular CBC event, Canada Reads, seven Simcoe County libraries have the opportunity to square off against each other and champion their book in the fourth annual Simcoe Reads competition. Join our seven local libraries — Barrie, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Essa, Innisfil, Midland, New Tecumseth, and Ramara — for this cover-to-cover competition for adults. Each library has selected one book for the challenge, along with a local celebrity to champion the title. We encourage everyone in Innisfil to read On the Ravine by Vincent Lam. Don’t forget to check out and read all the other Simcoe Reads book selections this year. Copies are available at our library branches.

Save the date

Join us on Oct. 19 at the Angus Recreation Centre for Simcoe Reads Live. Watch as community champions engage in a cover-to-cover conversation to represent their book in a final live exchange.
