Students in Grade 10 across Ontario will write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) on March 31.

Students who have not been successful in past attempts will write the test as well.

Students who are enrolled in or who have passed the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course will not write the test.

For the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB), secondary students who are writing the OSSLT will attend school the morning of March 31.

Regular classes will be delayed until the afternoon for ALL secondary students.

Students who are writing the OSSLT are to arrive at school for their regular time and buses will be on regular schedules.

Students not writing the test will be picked up at their regular bus stops 3½ hours later than their regularly scheduled pick-up time.

All bused students will be transported home at their regularly scheduled time at the end of the day.

Parents and students should check with their school for specific times. Buses for elementary students are not affected.

Students and parents can learn more about the test and review sample questions on the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) website.
