On the 19th of December 2015 Barrie Police attended the Wal-Mart in the north end of the city with regards to a theft.
Police arrested a male for theft under $5,000.00 and further investigation revealed that the male was out on probation for break and enter and was also wanted by the North Bay Police for drive disqualified.
The male was transported to the Barrie Police Service where he was held for a bail hearing.
Barrie Police reminded people that while out Christmas shopping to make sure vehicles are locked and keep all purchases in the trunk out of sight.
