The Downtown Barrie Business Association has announced the 2nd Annual October Tasting Trail in support of The Seasons Centre for Grieving Children.

The BIA kicked off the event at Nourish Cafe, Nutrition Plus on Wednesday with staff from Seasons Centre for Grieving Children, participating Downtown businesses and BIA staff and board.

Over the month of October during each Saturday, 13 participating businesses will be offering unique free samples.

A passport will be available at each participating business for $5 which all proceeds will be donated to the Seasons Centre for Grieving Children.

Seasons Centre has been providing services to grieving children and their families in a warm and caring atmosphere since 1995.

As October Tasting Trail customers visit each of the participating business locations, they will have their passports signed and if any 10 are signed off they will have a chance to win a $300 prize package consisting of gift certificates from the participating businesses.

Participants are encouraged to take the month of October and explore the great shops of Downtown Barrie – the two hour time slots will allow each to sample and browse each location which makes for a great outing with family and friends.
