Kempenfelt Community Players (KCP) is pleased to showcase outstanding local talent in their production of We Will Rock You at Georgian Theatre Feb. 9 to 19, 2023.
This show will knock your socks off.
Featuring more than 20 hit Queen songs including Another One Bites the Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, We Will Rock You, Somebody to Love, We Are the Champions, Don’t Stop Me Now, and many more, We Will Rock You follows two revolutionaries as they try to save rock ’n’ roll in a post-apocalyptic world. In an age where algorithms predict our every preference, We Will Rock You is a musical for our time: a fist-pumping, foot-stomping anthem to individuality.
KCP’s production is under the musical direction of Edwina Douglas, who has assembled an incredible band — Edwina Douglas (keyboard), Jay Rothenburg (keyboard), Gerry Markman and Ian Thurston (guitars), Mark Pethick (bass) and Allan Halford (drums) — to support the rock vocals of this cast. With artistic direction by Julie Underhill and Keelan Ballantyne and choreography by Kieren Day, this cast is sure to entertain audiences with its powerful vocal choruses and delivery of humour in this script.
We Will Rock You has been performed in 28 countries around the world. Kempenfelt Community Players is excited to bring its full company production back to the stage with a musical filled with the electricity of a rock concert.
