Music legend Quincy Jones says his breakout star, Sheléa, is "one of the greatest artists of her generation." The emerging performer will be at Casino Rama Friday night.

Jones and Sheléa teamed up recently with producer/ composer David Foster in the PBS special, Quincy Jones Presents: Sheléa.

In addition, Sheléa just released her new album featuring Stevie Wonder, Take Six, Greg Phillinganes, Kirk Whalum and Stevie Mackey called Pretty World: Through the Eyes of Alan & Marilyn Bergman

She also recently finished filming her lead role in the Lifetime biopic music film, The Clark Sisters: the First Ladies of Gospel.

The movie was executive produced by female musician heavy hitters Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, and Missy Elliott.

Sheléa is coming to Orillia as part of her Canada tour with David Foster.

She will perform at the Orillia Opera House on June 7.

In 2012, she was invited to sing at the White House for President and Michelle Obama to celebrate Gershwin Prize honorees and legendary composer Burt Bacharach and lyricist Hal David, and she also performed a Whitney Houston medley at the Grammy Museum.

In 2016, she was invited back to the White House for the Ray Charles Tribute concert. She was also performed at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences 2017 Governor's Awards.
