'By all means, wear your poppy, but do not project your anti-vax/anti-mask sentiments onto those who gave their lives to protect others in time of war,' says resident

Note to anti-vaxxer protesters using the cenotaph as a backdrop: Each of the fallen commemorated on the cenotaph signed an agreement to be vaccinated as a condition of service.

Several of them died in duty during the Spanish influenza pandemic as no vaccines had been developed.

We had to rely on strict quarantine laws, including the closure of businesses, schools, churches, etc., to reduce infection rates.

By all means, wear your poppy, but do not project your anti-vax/anti-mask sentiments onto those who gave their lives to protect others in time of war.
