The author has nailed these problems. Especially in Barrie.

The proposed legislation is wrong on so many levels. We need every acre of farmland we have presently, and Greenbelt, as it exists, must not be touched.

Everyone seems to be in agreement except Doug Ford, who lied to the entire province about his intentions during the last election. He is not a man of his word and cannot be trusted.

Look at all major cities with large populations. They have built up, not out. Look at Europe also.

Has anyone really thought about where 500,000 new immigrants are going to live in Canada every year? At least Quebec realizes they have no infrastructure or housing available for any population increases and are refusing to take any new immigrants.

The GTA should not be taking any new immigrants either based on a lack of affordable housing.

We are a huge country. Perhaps Ottawa can settle these people out west or down east based on affordable housing and existing infrastructure.
