I am very disappointed with the new "enforcement" project in Barrie's east end for many reasons.

The landlords who are negligent should be targeted by bylaws already in place and forced to pay the price for not maintaining their property and ensuring that their tenants are safe.

There are plenty of responsible landlords who will now pay the price for the irresponsible ones. Not fair at all. Tenants will pay the price for sure in the end.

There are many areas of Barrie that have absentee landlords as well. When will they be subject to these fees and inspections?
