I am writing to you to complain about on-street parking.

There is no control.

A car can park for up to eight months and not move until Dec. 1 and to March 31 for winter, 12 p.m. until 8 a.m.

The city can do nothing.

So if a car parks in front of your house for days/weeks, you have have no solution.

I have searched other city bylaws and found that out of 29 cities, 20 have a limit of no more than three hours up to 24 hours max. Nine other cities have no control in place.

The city does not want to try and fix it as they might lose a vote.

I also believe that parking should only be on one side of the street. Again, the city does not want to do anything.

In a time where the federal government is paying people to stay home, and the provincial government has a stay-at-home order, there are three or more cars per house at most times.
