The Township of Springwater Administration Centre will officially reopen to the public on Monday, July 27, 2020. The Administration Centre was initially closed to the public on March 16 in response to the evolving COVID19 pandemic.
A number of new health and safety measures have been put in place at the Administration Centre to protect both staff and members of the public, including:
- Stanchions in the lobby to assist with traffic flow;
- Plexiglas barriers at all service counters;
- Physical distancing signage;
- Enhanced cleaning protocols;
- Health screenings for visitors and staff;
- Sanitization stations;
- Gathering limits of 5 people in the front lobby at any given time;
- Masks or face coverings are strongly encouraged;
- Council meetings and public meetings will continue to be held virtually and the Administration Centre will be closed to the public during these meetings, in order to prevent large gatherings and enable physical distancing.
The Administration Centre will return to its standard operating hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday with the exception of public holidays. Staff will continue to work remotely and in the office on rotating shifts in an effort to limit the number of people in the building.
