New COVID case confirmed at Wasaga Beach school

The Simcoe County District School Board has confirmed a positive COVID-19 test result at Worsley Elementary School in Wasaga Beach.

The board reported the case this morning and has closed a classroom as a result. 

The case is a student or staff – the board has not reported which. 

There are currently four cases of COVID-19 confirmed at Simcoe County District School Board schools, including Worsley Elementary, Admiral Collingwood Elementary, Bear Creek Secondary, and Twin Lakes Secondary School.

Classrooms have been closed at Worsley, Admiral Collingwood and Bear Creek. 

There are five confirmed school-related cases within Simcoe Muskoka District Catholic School Board facilities, and there are six classrooms closed. The schools include St. Paul's Catholic School (Alliston), St. John Vianney Catholic School (Barrie), St. Angela Merici Catholic School (Bradford), Sister Catherine Donnelly Catholic School (Barrie), and Father F.X. O'Reilly Catholic School (Tottenham).
