The People’s Party of Canada (PPC) has once again selected Stephen Makk, an engineer and business owner from Victoria Harbour, as the candidate for Simcoe North.
Stephen looks forward to continuing to share the PPC message with Simcoe North voters looking for a candidate and party with clear guiding principles and a positive go-forward vision for Canada. To Stephen, it is clear that now is the time for voters to consider a new option. The same old tired political options haven’t achieved much in a long time.
The PPC’s core values are freedom, individual responsibility, fairness and respect. He has seen that message and the platform that adheres to it resonate with hardworking and caring Canadians from many different political backgrounds, and with people who have not been voting.
Stephen knows he can attract people to the PPC who are tired of the status quo parties and who are concerned about the authoritarian direction that this country is heading, where the government and media tell citizens what they ought to do, say, and believe.
Rather, it is up to the people to tell the government what to do. Stephen sees the job of an MP as being the facilitator of that communication. Unlike the legacy parties, the PPC will not whip the votes of its MPs. That means that a PPC MP can be a true and vocal advocate in parliament for the people in the riding.
Stephen Makk is a strong supporter of Canada's Constitution, especially the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and will do everything he can to ensure these are the binding covenants between the Government and the People.
With libertarian views on social matters and responsible fiscal conservatism, the PPC believes it can get Canada on the best track for freedom, productivity and quality of life for all Canadians.
Stephen looks forward to engaging with voters from all corners of the riding, of all backgrounds, and all political leanings, to hear their concerns and share how he could address those concerns as their representative in Ottawa.
Stephen lives and works in Victoria Harbour with his wife Riina and their two grown sons.
