Dr. Joseph Myung of Specsavers Park Place and Dr. Kelsey Marwood of Specsavers Georgian Mall, gathered to join in the “Spring into clean” event in Barrie. They were joined by several of their team members to take part in the environmental effort by cleaning up Bear Creek Eco Park.

Now celebrating their first anniversary, Specsavers in Georgian Mall is leading the way to be the best in eye exams! Dr. Marwood has been with Specsavers since the opening of the first location in Barrie just 1 year ago. She has since been recognized by Specsavers as the 3rd top Optometrist in the organization. Dr. Marwood earned her Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2021 and is setting the pace for new Optometry partners in Specsavers. Her business partner, Carmen Aihoshi, is a registered Optician and Georgian College Alumni 2014. She decided to join the Specsavers family after gaining valuable experience working in the industry for a variety of Optometric practices.

Since graduating from Illinois College of Optometry in 2008, Dr. Joseph Myung came home to Toronto in 2014 to begin his Optometry practice. After discovering the opportunity of joining Specsavers, Dr. Myung moved to Barrie.

Specsavers recently opened its second location in Park Place Mall in Barrie’s south end. Together with his business partner Lauri Brown, they own and operate the location side by side. Lauri is also a registered Optician and Georgian college Alumni 2014. Park Place Barrie will celebrate their Grand Opening on May 31 and accept food donations supporting the Barrie Food bank.

Both Specsavers Barrie teams are passionate about eye health and bringing affordable eyecare to the people of Barrie.

They are active in the community and eager to help you with your eyecare needs.
