Kempenfelt Rotary Club's annual event has raised more than $655,000 for charitable causes in the local community; Code Blue won this year

The 18th annual Battle of the Bands was unleashed Friday night at The Ranch 2.0 to a packed house in downtown Barrie.

The yearly fundraiser, hosted by the Kempenfelt Rotary Club, saw local bands The Bailouts, Bunker, Code Blue, Sonic Coalition and Steve’s Garage, as well as special guests Randall Pee Coltrane and the Hard Livers, battle it out for rock supremacy.

The winners, Code Blue, took home the coveted trophy, the cheekily named Paul Stanley Cup, after the Kiss lead singer.

The event has raised more than $655,000 for charitable causes in the Barrie area leading up to this year’s party.
