Several City of Barrie services will be affected by the Easter long weekend.

Recreation and community centres will be closed on March 29 for Good Friday. The facilities will offer regular and drop-in programming during the weekend and on Monday, April 1. Visit barrie.ca/RecDropins for the full schedule.

Barrie City Hall will be closed on Friday and Monday.

Downtown parking, both on-street and in lots, is free on statutory holidays. Waterfront parking is enforced year-round, however. View the municipal parking map to see parking areas and rates, and barrie.ca/parking for more parking information.

There will be no Barrie Transit service on Friday and Sunday. On Monday, transit will operate regular, weekday service. Riders can visit MyRideBarrie.ca to plan their trips.

There will also be no garbage, organics or recycling collection on Friday in Barrie. That day's collection will be moved to Saturday. Visit barrie.ca/CurbsideCollection for more information on curbside collection services.

The landfill will also be closed on Friday.
